And we have pictures to prove it! “Can’t wait until next year!”
members echoed throughout the night and several days after the
Safety Council’s sold-out 50th Anniversary Gala at the Hilton
Baton Rouge Capital Center. |

Members and guests
were entertained by Elvis, music from the band Stormy, and 3-D training demos.
“I was blown away by the hidden talents of our Board Members and staff who cut
the rug in a tribute to “Dancing with the Stars.” Attendees were deeply moved by
the courageous acts performed by the recipients of the 2007 Awards of Heroism -
Reginald Williams, Aaron Johnson & John Hubbard from the East Baton Rouge
Fire Department, who were honored for their efforts in rescuing a man from his
vehicle in the cold waters of the Mississippi River. |
