Member companies were
given a behind-the-scenes look at the new Addis Safety Council during our Open House & Ribbon
Cutting Ceremony. If you missed out, it’s still not too late to schedule your own personal
tour by giving us a call. Since construction was complete in mid-February, members, in and
around West Baton Rouge parish, have benefited from this new location.
Basic Orientation Plus
(BOP) classes, BOP refreshers and site orientations are available in Addis along with occupational
testing, drug & alcohol screening, blood work, x-rays, and medical care from Gulf Coast Occupational
Medicine. Future specialized training classes will be offered at this location.
West Baton Rouge Parish President Riley “Pee Wee” Berthelot, Addis
Mayor Carroll Bourgeois, Brusly Mayor Joey Normand,
and many other business and community leaders joined Safety Council President/CEO Kathy Trahan, Chairman of the Board Keith Sliman as well as Gulf Coast Occupational Medicine Administrator Sarah Taylor as they made the ceremonial snip of the ribbon.
