Vice President of Community
Services & Human Resources
Lisa Oubre |
The Safety Council is pleased to welcome Lisa Oubre to our leadership team. Lisa, formerly the head of Human Resources and Benefits at Excel Group
in Baton Rouge joins the Safety Council as our Vice President of Community Services and Human Resources. With over 22 years of industry experience, she brings her valued insights into leading our community division and directing the human resources strategy at the council.
Lisa is eager to meet with our membership to discuss ways our community division can assist you in communicating important safety messages to your workforce. If you have any ideas you would like to discuss with her, send her an email at loubre@safetylca.org.

Our commitment to professional growth continues as well. We proudly announce that our President/CEO Kathy Trahan and our Vice President of Operations Bill Dufrene
have earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry. Less than 5 percent of all association professionals have earned the CAE.
|
"I am thrilled to learn that Bill and I have achieved the CAE designation. The CAE credentialing process has given us a wealth of information regarding best practices and strategies, and has furthered our ability to streamline our processes to allow our members to save time and money," Trahan said. |

"Of course, earning the CAE is not an end point—it signifies our ongoing commitment to professional growth, which is consistent with the Safety Council’s mission to provide our members with timely solutions."
Join us in welcoming Lisa and congratulating Kathy and Bill.
