Opening Soon to Serve You - the Safety Council Addis Office

In an effort to serve the needs of our members in West Baton Rouge parish and surrounding parishes, the Safety Council has started construction on a new facility in Addis.

The groundbreaking for this project was held last month at the future site located at 7640 Highway 1 South, just south of the Addis Community Center. The facility, due for completion in November, 2007, will consist of approximately 6,000 sq. feet and house a sophisticated computer training laboratory, state-of-the-art classrooms as well as the offices of Gulf Coast Occupational Medicine.

Dow Plaquemine Operations Site Director, Lee Trusty says, “We are looking forward to the opening of this new office. It certainly will make it more convenient for our contractors to get their safety training and help us meet our safety goals.” Safety Council President/CEO Kathy Trahan says, “We hope this new facility will help support the community and encourage new expansion projects like those currently taking place at Shintech and Criterion Catalysts.” If you have any questions about our new facility, contact Dianna Braud at (225) 766-0955 ext. 125 or dbraud@safetylca.org.
