It’s time to turn the spotlight on safety. If you or your organization is setting
the safety standard, or if you know someone who should be recognized for an act
of heroism, let the Safety Council know. We will be shining a light on the best
of the best at the Safety Council’s 50th Anniversary Gala and Awards Ceremony. Now
is the time to submit your nomination(s).

Winners will be recognized during the Gala on April 5th, 2008, at the
Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol. Awards will be given in the following categories:

Excellence in Safety Training
-
Outstanding Fleet Safety Performance
-
Innovative Community Outreach
-
COSS Excellence in Safety
-
Acts of Heroism
Award recipients will be featured in the Safety Council’s bi-monthly newsletter, Gotta Minute?; will receive an invitation for two to the Safety Council’s 50th Anniversary Gala and Awards Ceremony; will have a congratulatory letter sent to their employer; and, will be featured in a press release distributed to the local media.

Nomination forms may be downloaded and filled out electronically by visiting www.safetylca.org/annualmeeting/call.htm. The deadline for nominations is February 29th, 2008. Let your commitment to safety shine!
