Take the Desselle-Maggard Corporation and GBRIA Safety Challenge
|
 |
| Congratulations to Desselle-Maggard Corporation (DMC) for a successful third party safety audit. Last August, at the request of PCS Nitrogen, DMC opened their doors to a third party auditor arranged through the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA). No follow-up corrective actions were found. |
Safety conscious DMC routinely goes above and beyond in their efforts to provide a safe environment in all working conditions. “Our greatest value is to create the safest work environment possible. Our people are DMC”, said President/Owner, Joey Jobe. Whether in the vendor’s office, in the vendor’s shop, while on the road, or in the field servicing equipment – DMC knows safety comes first.
GBRIA and DMC challenge other vendors in the service industry to implement auditable safety programs and accurately report incidents and accidents in an effort to provide a safe work environment for all personnel in the Greater Baton Rouge Industrial Area.

A current
OSHA National Emphasis Program (NEP) is stressing this same topic. The NEP on recordkeeping, which began on October 1, 2009, is attempting to determine the accuracy of worker injury and illness data reported by employers. To learn more about this program, visit:
