TWIC™ Office Cuts Back Hours of Operation
The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) enrollment center located at the Safety Council in Baton Rouge has changed its hours of operation. Its new business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. No longer will it take applications on Saturdays.
The TWIC enrollment center located at the Addis Safety Council will continue its normal hours of operation, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The TWIC program is a background screening initiative administered by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the U.S. Coast Guard. As of August 5, 2009, 1.3 million workers have enrolled in this mandatory program. For further information on the TWIC requirements, please visit
