Think
Family, the off-the-job safety division of the Safety Council of the Louisiana Capital Area is the recipient of a
Safe Communities grant, funded through the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission. Funding supports efforts that reinforce state and national seat belt usage and impaired/distracted driving safety messages throughout the Greater Baton Rouge area. In alignment with the grant, a
Safe Communities -Greater Baton Rouge Advisory Board has been formed to guide and support the activities of the grant. |
There are four openings on the Advisory Board for representatives from local industries. Each year valuable time and money is lost by traffic crashes that could have been avoided. Together we can make Louisiana the safest state! Help increase business productivity while decreasing lost employee hours by uniting in the Greater Baton Rouge Safe Communities Advisory Board.
Upcoming events include:
May 15- Think Safe. Think Family. Cookoff and Safety Olympics
May 24- 2010 Safe Communities Traffic Safety Summit – a free forum highlighting what your business needs to know about highway traffic safety and your workers
For more information on how to get involved in this important initiative, please contact Preston Bates at
(225) 282-3317 or preston@esafetycouncil.com. |
