Behavior Safety Specialist Certificate…An Industry First

You have an opportunity to take part in a new certificate program that is the first of its kind. The Behavior Safety Specialist (BSS) class is a unique course that trains individuals specifically in the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavior safety programs. If you are, or are considering being, the person charged with coordinating the behavior safety program for your company you will find this course invaluable. You’ll learn how to develop, present, and evaluate behavior Behavior Based Safety programs.

A Behavior Safety Specialist is someone who possesses the expertise needed for creating behavior safety programs that raise awareness levels, get employees involved, and reduce human errors. An individual who successfully completes this 40-hour training class will be an official Behavior Safety Specialist that will be trained to:


  • Improve communication between and among employees.
  • Increase cooperation and teamwork.
  • Identify techniques for improving personal work behaviors.
  • Improve human performance factors through observation and feedback.
  • Increase professional and personal responsibilities.
  • Focus on “active participation” for increasing a commitment to safety performance.

The Safety Council of Louisiana Capital Area is giving you the chance to evaluate this course at a reduced, introductory rate of $895 for a limited time only.
