Spotlight on Safety Video Contest

Ready. Set. Action! Are you ready to put safety in the spotlight? You could be the next safety superstar!

Our media-rich culture challenges us to spread safety messages in an informative, fresh and inspiring way. In this spirit we invite you to enter the Spotlight on Safety short video contest. Whether an aspiring filmmaker, safety director, frontline supervisor, parent, student or safety champion, you can participate.

Let your creativity flourish as you make a 30 to 180 second video on any on- or off-the-job safety theme. Upload your video to our Spotlight on Safety YouTube channel called, The Safety Tube. Upload your completed video anytime from January 1 – March 1, 2011.

The winning submission will receive:

  • $500
  • Table at the Safety Council LCA’s Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration ($600 value, March 31, 2011 at the Hilton Capitol Center in Baton Rouge
  • 4 full registrations to the 2011 Louisiana Governor’s Safety & Health Conference ($1000 value)
  • Recognition during awards ceremony
  • Featured video spotlight on the Safety Council’s website
  • Article in Gotta Minute

Videos will be judged on the quality of content, creativity and ability to convey safety information in a meaningful manner. We appreciate a humorous style just as much as a sincere approach.
