What AreThese Safety Professionals Doing?

Hundreds of safety professionals were exhibiting strange behaviors at the 13th Annual Gulf Coast Safety + Security Conference & Expo. No, this is not an image from Dancing with the Safety Stars, but a snapshot of just one of the many thought-provoking strength and positive-thinking exercises led by keynote speaker Jerry Teplitz, Ph.D.

This year’s attendees enjoyed sessions from more than 20 expert speakers and exhibits from over 40 vendors selected by the Gulf Coast Safety + Security Conference & Expo planning committee. Hip, Hip Hooray! to the planning committee volunteers for their help in creating such a terrific and worthwhile event. Members of the 2008 planning committee included: Sarah Taylor, Gulf Coast Occupational Medicine; Lance Roux, SafetyPro Resources; Joe Tudor, Shell Chemical; Eric Bertolet, TOPCOR Services; George Stevens, URS Corporation; Mike Parker; NRG Energy Inc.; John Voinche’, Roco Corportation; and Lawrence Mauerman, Southeastern University.

Congratulations also goes to Ramon Gonzales of Grady Crawford Construction. His completed conference evaluation survey was pulled during the close-of-conference drawing. He has won a free pass to the 2009 conference.

Mark your calendars and watch your mailboxes! Our 2009 conference will take place in October, in Baton Rouge.
